“If I knew then what I know now…”

That was the theme of our conversation around the table during our session on Tuesday.

“Ah…if I knew then what I know now.”

How many of us have uttered these exact words before? I know I have, far too many times if I’m being honest.

We all want to make the “right” decisions in life, whether it’s with our health, relationships, work or the way we look after ourselves. But life doesn’t always work like that now, does it?

We can’t go back on the choices we’ve made, so what do we do instead? Do we accept it? Learn from it? Change what we can moving forward?

One thing I’ve really noticed with the women I work with, is just how willing they are to learn and prioritise their health now.

Many are living with health conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and inflammation, but despite that, they’re still showing up, asking questions and wanting to understand how healthier food choices can support them on a more sustainable journey. And honestly, that takes courage.

Because breaking any kind of habit isn’t easy.

We all have those things we turn to for comfort. For me? Crisps 😄

I could easily eat a whole bag in one sitting, even though I know it’s probably not the best choice when I’m stressed or tired…but sometimes comfort wins. And I think we’ve all been there.

This week, though, our comfort food looks a little different.

We made a delicious lentil bolognese, warming, filling and full of goodness.

Lentils are brilliant for supporting heart health, helping reduce inflammation, lowering cholesterol and keeping you fuller for longer. Most importantly? It was just so tasty.

Serve it with mash potato, pasta or even a baked sweet potato and you’ve got a meal that is simple, nourishing and feels comforting. 🤗

Give it a go.

Dyonne 💛
